Well the movie tries to cover the first game that it is named after. Except the changed all the characters and the only constant is the Apple of Eden. Gone is Altair and in come Michael Fastbender. The Animus is no longer the lovely little recliner chair, and is now a belt fastener. Videos are projected using weird holgram by a multitude of projecting lights. The whole thing on this is the Templars search for the Apple. They capture and bring out memories this you should know. Well once they go through the whole process, they get the Apple for what feels like a minute. Only to be cut down in an all to quick turn of events, then roll credits.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you what happens when a big budget item either runs out of money, or is rushed. This could have been great but, with plot holes galore, leaves to many questions open ended. Take the beginning, kid comes home to find out his dad killed his mom and is told to run. Then it just fast forwards to him being on death row from a murder 30 years later. Why the hell did I need to see him as a kid? It didn't pay any significant purpose other than to waste a viewers time. Sadly this whole movie is a waste of time and it had decent source material. If you want to watch and you have HBO, knock yourself out!
