We are all just trying to make it to the big leagues and that is what Bull Durham is all about. Crash Davis is career minor league catcher who never got his break. With all his experience in the game he gets brought to Durham to help mold young pitcher Nuke LaLoosh. Crash isn't to thrilled about his new under study but waste no time sharing his wisdom. Mainly by punching Nuke in a bar fight. Sometimes you learn more off the field then on. Crash isn't the only one helping Nuke this season as Annie Savoy has been helping young Durham players for years, mainly with some "private lessons". The Bulls get on win streak which leads Nuke to swear off "private lessons" till they lose, leaving a opening for Crash to make a move on Annie. A classic love triangle on the dimond.
This is one of the best baseball movies of all time. To be fair name a baseball movie with Kevin Costner that isn't great. It a great peak behind the curtain of professional baseball and how there are tons of players trying to make there way to the big time. They go to great length to like using a chicken bone cross, wearing lady's underwear, and gang of other things that may enhance performance. You thought they only steroids? It is also a great story of how people seem to come into your life at right time. Some teach you with love, other kind of just beat into you. Both have there benefits. If you haven't seen this one go grab copy and watch it. Just the prefect thing to get you ready for opening weekend of the MLB season.
