A classic superhero flick. Batman does normal run down of how Bruce Wayne came to be the Dark Knight but this movie really isn't his origin story. You meet a man named Jack Napier who is just a crooked as his name implies. He gets sent out to do the dirty work for one of the biggest crime families in Gotham but this job will change his life forever. When Batman shows up to stop the break in at the ACE Chemical Planet Jack falls into a tank of chemical. Everyone assume he is dead but in his death is born The Clown Prince of Crime. He only has one goal and that is to put a smile on every face in Gotham. HA AHA HA!
I think this movie for the longest time was the gold standard for bring superheros to the silver screen. Tim Burton's was a great director to take on this movie. He did a great job of making the film have a dark tone but also was able get that weird silly side that Joker on display. One thing I really enjoy is the Joker boxing glove gun he uses to smash a tv. You just don't get to see those goofy gadgets in the new "realistic" superhero movies now. If you are a fan of The Batman you probably already seen this classic but go grab copy and watch it again. You'll enjoy it, trust me.
